Each month we’ll bring you an easy recipe that can actually be made by you (not a gourmet chef) after a busy day. All recipes will be simple, healthy, quick, and won’t break the bank. Have a suggestion? Feel free to let us know!
I can’t take credit for the creation of this month’s recipe, but I’ll happily take credit for introducing you to such an amazing breakfast hack after you’ve eaten it!
Oatmeal, especially with steel cut oats, is known as a power food.
The benefits of adding it to your regular breakfast routine are numerous, and it tastes pretty good too. But who has time to make oatmeal in the morning before work as you’re trying to rush out the door? Not me. Good news, with this recipe from Runner’s World that problem is solved.
This oatmeal is made in a slow cooker overnight, and ready to eat the next day. It also makes enough to fuel you for several mornings in a row! No slow cooker? It might be time to add one to your kitchen. They’re user friendly, convenient, and can be purchased for an affordable price. Don’t worry, This Is Us fans. Despite what the devastating pre-Super Bowl episode will lead you to believe, slow cookers are totally safe.
You can make adjustments to this recipe as needed, or experiment with toppings. It’s simple, delicious, and full of nutrients. What more could you want? Check out the full recipe here or save the images below.
